Honor Power2 officially unveiled: smartphone with 10,080 mAh battery and new Dimensity 8500 Elite chip
Honor officially announced Power2 in China — it's one of the first smartphones with a silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery of 10,080 mAh. At 7.98 mm thick and weighing 216 g, the new product provides over 20 hours of continuous operation. According to the company, the device can last up to 26 hours of video viewing, 17 hours of navigation, or 14 hours of gaming without recharging.
What is known
Power2 supports wired charging at 80 W and can charge other devices — up to 27 W in reverse charging mode. At the same time, the smartphone is protected from water and dust according to IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, and it is equipped with a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz, FHD+ resolution, and peak brightness up to 1800 nits. The screen accommodates a 16 MP front camera and a fingerprint scanner.
This is the first smartphone based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chip. It contains an 8-core processor with Cortex-A725 cores (1 × 3.4 GHz, 3 × 3.2 GHz, and 4 × 2.2 GHz) and Mali-G720 MC8 graphics. In AnTuTu benchmarks, the device scored over 2.4 million points. The chipset is complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage of 256 or 512 GB (UFS 4.1).
The main camera is 50 MP with an aperture of f/1.9 and optical stabilization, and there is also an ultra-wide-angle module of 5 MP. The smartphone operates under MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Honor Power2 is available in Midnight Black, Snowfield White, and Sunrise Orange colors, the latter resembling the hue of the iPhone 17 Pro. Prices: 12/256 GB — ¥2700 ($385), 12/512 GB — ¥3000 ($428). Sales start in China on January 9.
