Ukrainian ambitious PvP/PvE shooter SAND: Raiders of Sophie will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 in March
Ukrainian studios Hologryph and TowerHaus, along with publisher tinyBuild, have revealed the release window for the ambitious PvP/PvE shooter SAND, which recently got the subtitle Raiders of Sophie.
What is known
The authors have presented another trailer for SAND: Raiders of Sophie, which not only showed gameplay footage but also announced that the game in an unexpected setting will be released in March 2026 on PC and PlayStation 5, and later will come to Xbox Series.
Previously, the developers abandoned the early access concept and will provide gamers with a complete game, after which they will continue its content support.
For those who are unaware
According to the plot of SAND: Raiders of Sophie, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was the first to explore other planets, and after an ecological disaster occurred on the planet Sophie, the Austro-Hungarian Kaiser persuaded the people of Galicia (modern Western Ukraine) to go there to establish new settlements.
From a gameplay perspective, Sand resembles Sea of Thieves, but instead of sailing ships, the game will feature a desert that was once a sea bottom, and a walking transport - Trampler, which can be controlled by both a single player and a small company.
Players will have to use Trampers to travel across Sophie and fight each other for control over the machine, aided by firearms resembling early 20th-century models.
The game looks interesting and has every chance of success.
