Insider: Honor 50 will receive MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, and Honor 50 Pro will receive Qualcomm SoC
The other day it was announced that Honor is going to release a new flagship range of devices on the global market. Now new details about the smartphones have leaked into the network.
What we know
According to an insider Teme, there will be at least two devices in therange: Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro. The base model, according to the source, will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. For those not in the know, this is a new 6-nanometer SoC with an integrated 5G modem and a maximum core clock frequency of 3.0 GHz. The device with this chip should be presented in May.
As for the top-end version of Honor 50 Pro, it will have Qualcomm SoC, but the insider does not say, which one. Perhaps we are talking about Snapdragon 870 or Snapdragon 888.
Honor 50 Pro, if everything goes according to plan, will be announced a month later - in June. Unfortunately, there are no other characteristics of the new products yet.
