Kia showcased the compact electric crossover EV2 at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show. This is the brand's sixth dedicated electric vehicle and the most affordable model in the brand's electric lineup. The EV2 belongs to the B-class and is primarily aimed at urban use.

What is known

The new model will be available with two battery options. The base version is equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery providing a range of up to 317 km according to the WLTP cycle. A 61.0 kWh battery increases this figure to 448 km. Both versions support fast DC charging: charging from 10 to 80% takes about 30 minutes.

Mass production of the standard EV2 version will begin in the first quarter of 2026. Modifications with extended range and the GT Line trim will appear later in the year. The crossover has a length of 4060 mm. Features include support for bidirectional V2L and V2G charging, a remote smart parking system, and a 12.3-inch multimedia system display.

In addition to the EV2, Kia introduced the EV3 GT, EV4 Hatchback GT, and EV5 GT sporty versions in Brussels. All are equipped with dual-motor all-wheel drive and specially tuned chassis. Production of GT models is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.
