Hyundai Launches Electric Minivan Staria in Europe
Hyundai introduced a fully electric version of the Staria minivan at the Brussels Motor Show. The novelty features an 84 kWh battery, front-wheel drive, and a 160 kW electric motor.
What is known
Staria Electric is the brand's first fully electric MPV. The model is built on an 800-volt architecture, allowing for quick DC charging: from 10 to 80% in about 20 minutes. The estimated range under the WLTP cycle reaches 400 km.
The model will be available in two versions: the seven-seater Luxury and the nine-seater Wagon. The electric minivan is also capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 2000 kg and supports the Vehicle-to-Load function for connecting external devices.
The cabin features two 12.3-inch screens and the Hyundai Connected Car Navigation Cockpit multimedia system with support for wireless software updates.
Production of the Staria Electric will be organized at Hyundai's plant in Ulsan, South Korea. Sales of the model in Europe will start in the first half of 2026.
