Media reports indicate significant changes in Nvidia's approach to releasing its graphics cards. Amid the global memory shortage, the American giant has made a tough decision to discontinue the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.

What is known

Once the stocks of graphics processors are depleted, no further supplies are expected.

According to VideoCardz, Nvidia will prioritize cards with higher performance at the same memory volume, for example, when choosing a GPU with 8GB of memory, the company will keep the RTX 5060 Ti instead of the base RTX 5060, and when it comes to 16GB of memory, efforts will focus on the RTX 5080 rather than the RTX 5060 Ti or RTX 5070 Ti.

The most prioritized graphics card becomes the RTX 5080. The situation with the RTX 5070 has not yet been fully resolved, but it might equally fall into disfavor or continue to be produced.

The change in production system is linked to the fact that, with the same memory costs, a more expensive model brings Nvidia more money.
