The social media network Bluesky has made the Live Now feature available to all users. As part of the v1.114 update, streamers can add a badge to their avatar linking to a live Twitch stream. Previously, the feature was tested with a limited set of accounts, including the official NBA profile.

What is Known

Currently, Live Now only works with Twitch, but the company notes that more platforms may be added later. Bluesky positions this feature as part of its model of integration with third-party services.

Apart from the badge, the update introduced another feature — cashtag. These are tags with a dollar sign ($) used to reference public companies. For example, $AAPL means Apple. They work like regular hashtags: by clicking or searching, the user sees all posts with that tag. This feature was previously popular on Twitter before changes in the platform's policies.
