Ubisoft has lost many valuable employees in recent years, and today it became known that Julian Gerighty, who was in charge of The Division franchise, left the Massive Entertainment studio.

What is known

Julian Gerighty worked at Ubisoft for nearly 30 years and proved himself as an excellent developer and manager. Not long ago, he shared ambitious plans to create The Division 3, but today it was revealed that the game designer has moved to one of the key divisions of Electronic Arts — Battlefield Studios, where five studios work under unified management.

It is not yet known what position Gerighty received, but let's recall that in late December, the head of Battlefield Studios Vince Zampella (Vince Zampella) died in a car accident, and given the experience of the Ubisoft veteran, it can't be ruled out that he will take his position.

Well, if this speculation is confirmed, Julian Gerighty will have to work hard since after a spectacular start, Battlefield 6 is in a critically difficult situation and lost almost 90% of players in just 2.5 months.

In turn, Massive Entertainment, which is facing another wave of layoffs, reassures The Division fans and states that the franchise's development will actively continue.
