Casio has released a special edition of the G‑Shock GA‑2100 watch dedicated to the Chinese city of Harbin — one of the coldest metropolises in the country and the venue of the famous International Ice and Snow Festival. The model GA‑2100AS‑2APRH is already available in the Chinese market.

What is known

The model is designed in the signature octagonal shape of the GA‑2100 series, but stands out with a unique design inspired by Harbin's winter aesthetics. The watch features a semi-transparent dial with a bluish-green tint, as well as a dark blue bezel and a strap made of shock-resistant polymer. The color palette refers to Harbin's icy aesthetics, creating the effect of a ‘frozen’ case.

Functionally, the Harbin City Edition retains the capabilities of the base GA‑2100 model and offers world time, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, five alarms, automatic backlight, 200m water resistance, and traditional G‑Shock shock resistance. The hybrid analog-digital interface remains unchanged, emphasizing the reliability and recognizable style of the line.

Casio positions the GA‑2100AS‑2APRH as exclusive to the Chinese market at a price of $142 (converted from yuan), with no information yet on an international release. Urban limited editions of G‑Shocks traditionally attract collectors’ interest, so this model could become a rare find outside of China.
