Honor introduces Watch GS 5 — thin and lightweight watch with advanced heart risk screening
Honor has announced the Watch GS 5 — a new generation of its rugged smartwatches.
The company positions this model as a solution for users who prioritize health, comfort, and long battery life.
What is known
Honor Watch GS 5 retains the trademark round design of the GS series but has become noticeably more compact: the case is 9.9 mm thick, and it weighs only 26 g, making it comfortable for all-day wear.
The main innovation is enhanced heart monitoring functions. Honor claims the introduction of a sudden cardiac arrest risk screening tool, which analyzes heart rate data and assesses potential threats. The company calls this feature the first in the industry. In addition, the watch offers a cardiovascular risk assessment system.
Battery life is another strong argument: in Bluetooth mode, the Honor Watch GS 5 can work up to 23 days without recharging, making it one of the most "durable" models in its class.
Honor Watch GS 5 also supports standard smart watch functions, including intelligent reminders about flights, high-speed trains, and taxis.
Pre-orders for the watches start on January 19 exclusively in China for now, but given the popularity of the GS series, its international release seems quite likely.
