Confusion Live: The Legion Pro Rollable Concept Laptop's Screen Refused to Expand

At CES 2026, Lenovo presented the Legion Pro Rollable concept — a gaming laptop with a rollable OLED display.

Apparently, the company thought that additional interest in its development would not hurt and took the opportunity to remind the public about the ambitious device with the help of popular influencer Linus Sebastian. But on the show where Linus brought the Legion Pro Rollable, there was a confusion.

What is Known

The blogger participated in the popular television program The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he wanted to showcase the mechanism live. But the Lenovo laptop had its own plans, and after the blogger's inspiring speech about the impressive screen capabilities, the Legion Pro Rollable... refused to “expand.” Linus Sebastian pressed the appropriate button several times, but nothing happened, although the laptop was operating normally and responded to other commands.

It is still unknown whether this was a hardware issue or related to software, but the situation turned out to be quite comical. However, we remind you that this is still a concept, and Lenovo is not even sure if it will be produced in series.

The situation with the Legion Pro Rollable, of course, is unpleasant, but it doesn't even come close to the fiasco of the disgrace of the Russian humanoid robot AIDOL.

For Those Not Aware

In its normal state, the Legion Pro Rollable is a standard 16” laptop with a 16:10 aspect ratio, but the built-in flexible PureSight OLED screen can “roll out” to the sides, turning the device into an ultra-wide display for gaming, editing, or multitasking. The expansion process occurs smoothly thanks to two motors and a tension system that protect the panel from damage.

The Legion Pro Rollable is based on the Legion Pro 7i and retains its powerful configuration, including support for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Intel Core Ultra processors are also mentioned.

The laptop offers three display modes for different usage scenarios:

  • Focus Mode — standard 16";
  • Tactical Mode — expands to 21.5";
  • Arena Mode — maximum 24" ultra-wide format.
