Xiaomi has released the Sound 2 Pro Hi-Fi audio system, which is somewhat more affordable than the flagship Sound 2 Max but offers excellent sound in a compact size. The novelty has received a metal body, improved acoustic architecture, and support for modern connectivity technologies.

What is known

The speaker is equipped with a two-way system with separate drivers:

  • 40 W mid-woofer for bass and mid frequencies,
  • 20 W tweeter for high frequencies.

The total power reaches 60 W, making the Sound 2 Pro one of the most productive devices in the mid-range segment. This configuration provides more accurate frequency separation and cleaner sound compared to previous models.

Sound 2 Pro supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 and has RCA and USB-C ports for analog and digital audio sources, making it quite flexible for connection to TVs, laptops, and other audio equipment. Users can connect up to four Sound 2 Pro speakers simultaneously.

The design of the novelty is made in the same style as the large Sound 2 Max: strict lines, a metal grill, and a minimalist appearance. At the same time, the reduced dimensions make the speaker more accessible and convenient for placement in small spaces. The manufacturer emphasizes that the metal construction not only enhances durability but also reduces vibrations, improving sound quality.

The speaker easily integrates into the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem.

Xiaomi Sound 2 Pro is already available on the Chinese market at a price of $200 (converted from yuan).

There is no confirmation of an international release yet.
