Amazon added an artificial intelligence-based assistant called Health AI to the One Medical application. Its functions include explaining test results, assisting with medication intake, scheduling doctor appointments, and answering general and complex questions, taking into account the user's medical history.

What is known

The tool operates 24/7 and analyzes the user's medical records to provide personalized information. At the same time, Health AI, according to the company, does not replace the doctor and determines situations requiring clinical intervention. It is also stated that AI can analyze images, but it is not specified which ones.

Amazon states that it adheres to HIPAA privacy standards. Conversations with Health AI are not automatically added to the medical record, but this option is available. The company also indicates that it does not sell users' protected medical information.

One Medical has a limited number of physical offices in major U.S. cities, but the main focus is on telemedicine services available with an annual subscription. A discount is available for Amazon Prime members. Previously, Amazon had already launched same-day delivery of medications and prescription vending machines.
