Insider: Dynamic Island in iPhone 18 Pro will be 35% more compact than previous models

This week, information appeared on the internet that iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will not receive an under-display front camera with Face ID, but will feature a reduced size of Dynamic Island, thanks to changes in the design of the infrared sensor

Insider Instant Digital even published a render of the new module, but it doesn't mean much to people not familiar with technology, while the visualization from Ice Universe is more informative.

What is known

Ice Universe published an unofficial image of the iPhone 18 Pro, which demonstrates the new Dynamic Island—and it is significantly more compact than the current Apple flagships.

According to his information, the width of Dynamic Island in the new smartphones will be reduced by 35%—from 20.76 mm to 13.49 mm, which will free up a significant part of the screen.

And in subsequent models, Dynamic Island will be abandoned, as the front camera will be located under the display.
