Nintendo's Companion: Pre-orders open for the cute Talking Flower from Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Nintendo continues to expand its line of cute accessories based on its gaming franchises. Previously, the Japanese company released the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo alarm clock and the fun Switch 2 webcam in the shape of a Piranha Plant from Super Mario.

Now Nintendo offers to turn your attention to the toy in the form of a Talking Flower, which could be found in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

What is known

It's worth noting that the Talking Flower is not a smart speaker nor an AI-based device. In fact, it is a decorative item that plays randomly pre-recorded phrases several times an hour. These can be light jokes, lines from the game, or "deep" thoughts on whether flowers should speak or something similar.

The device is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor and can comment on the conditions of its "habitat" in the room.

Talking Flower supports 11 languages, including English, Italian, German, and Spanish.

The Talking Flower body has a special button: a short press plays a random phrase, and holding it for a while "shuts the flower's mouth".

The talking toy will go on sale on March 12, 2026, and pre-orders are already open at My Nintendo Store and some retailers for $34.99.
