The Chinese company Mad Catz has introduced a new gaming mouse, the MMO 7+, which is a modern reimagining of the popular MMO 7 model.

The manufacturer has retained the recognizable mechanical design with a modular structure but completely updated the technical internals, focusing on the wishes of MMO game fans.

What is Known

The mouse has a polling rate of 1000 Hz, weighs 140 g, and features 21 programmable buttons, including a Shift mode that allows doubling the number of available commands, making the device especially appealing for genres where high control density is important.

The MMO 7+ is based on the PixArt PAW3395 optical sensor — one of the most precise and popular among advanced gaming solutions. The main buttons are equipped with Kailh switches with a lifespan of 80 million clicks, and the body design allows for flexible customization to fit the palm: an adjustable wrist rest has four positions, and the thumb support can be adjusted for an individual grip. The device supports five built-in profiles, simplifying the switch between games and work tasks.

The mouse works both wired via USB-C and wirelessly via a 2.4 GHz channel. In standalone mode, it is claimed to last up to 40 hours. In the Chinese market, the Mad Catz MMO 7+ is already available for $145 (converted from yuan). The global release dates have not been announced by the company, but it is expected to be available internationally later.
