Anbernic announced the unusual RG G01 gamepad, which has become the brand's most technologically advanced device and stands out noticeably among classic controllers. The model is equipped with a built-in display, extended customization options, and even heart rate monitoring.

What is known

The RG G01 is equipped with a 2.5” HD screen used for controller settings: button reassignment, creating macros, managing profiles, and vibration parameters. All changes are made on the device without the need to connect a smartphone or PC.

One of the most unusual features is the heart rate sensor, allowing players to track their pulse during matches. This is an experimental feature that no other mass gamepad manufacturer has previously offered.

The controller supports Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz, and wired connections. The polling rate reaches 1000 Hz both via cable and wireless adapter—a rate typically found only in premium models oriented towards esports.

The sticks are made using Purple Kirin electro-inductive capacitive technology, ensuring smooth movement and anti-slip protection. The triggers work in two modes—linear and microswitch. Asymmetric vibration motors, a 6-axis gyroscope, rear programmable buttons, and turbo-press modes are also provided.

Anbernic RG G01 is compatible with Windows, SteamOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS, making it a universal controller for various platforms.

The release date and price of the RG G01 have not yet been specified.
