The date became known when Apple will start showing more ads in the App Store

Apple announced that starting March 3, it will begin showing additional advertisements in App Store search results. Initially, the innovation will work in the UK and Japan, and by the end of March, it will cover the US and other countries.

What is known

Until now, ads have only appeared in the top position of search results. Now Apple will add several more slots below in the list to provide more opportunities for app promotion. The company notes that almost 65% of downloads occur precisely after searches, so the new positions are intended to increase campaign effectiveness.

To participate in the extended display, you don’t need to make changes to existing campaigns. Ads will automatically participate in the distribution among all available positions, although it will not be possible to select a specific one. New slots will be available on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26.2 or iPadOS 26.2 and later.

App Store ads already appear on the "Today" tab, the "You Might Also Like" block on app pages, and the "Suggested" section in search. Last year, the company renamed its advertising division from "Search Ads" to "Apple Ads".
