You've never seen a Witcher like this! An unusual card adventure Reigns: The Witcher with simple visuals and deep storytelling was announced

A new game in The Witcher franchise was announced, but there is a nuance... The fact is that this is not The Witcher 5 or a large-scale spin-off, but a card adventure of the Reigns series.

What is known

Devolver Digital and Nerial studio in collaboration with CD Projekt RED announced Reigns: The Witcher, and it will offer a new look at the iconic game series. It's a game with an exaggerated visual style, based on flipping cards and dialogues, and the player must make morally ambiguous choices and thus influence the plot's development.

Previously, the Reigns series had several standalone games and a project based on Game of Thrones, and now it's the turn of the white-haired monster slayer.

In Reigns: The Witcher, gamers will see all familiar characters — Geralt, Yennefer, Triss Merigold, and even the old mentor Vesemir. The narration is structured like a ballad by the bard Dandelion, who is simultaneously a character in his own story. During the playthrough, new stories and characters will open up for him, and the minstrel himself will have the opportunity to perform in more taverns.

Developers promise captivating stories with an unpredictable plot and numerous options for event development.

When to expect

Reigns: The Witcher will be released on PC (Steam, GOG), Mac, iOS, and Android on February 25th.
