The Italian studio One-O-One announced a new game based on Dante Alighieri's “Divine Comedy”. This time, gamers will be offered not a slasher or hardcore action, but a mystical thriller that, in terms of gameplay, takes the form of a walking simulator, set in our time.

What is Known

The main character of The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline will be Gabriele Alighieri — a man crushed by his own legacy. To protect his family and the world, he must perform the Ritual, which according to the plot, is performed every 33 years.

The events of the game will unfold in two realities — on a small villa in Italy and in the Hellish labyrinths, which the developers described as “a mirror of the soul.”

In The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline, there are no fights; the player must explore dark, phantasmagoric locations, solve puzzles, and find hidden items.

Interestingly, collectible items include pages from the “Divine Comedy,” which strengthens the connection of The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline with the literary source.

When to Expect

The release of The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is expected in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, and a demo version of the game will be available on Steam starting February 19.
