It is really impossible to peep: Samsung showed how the new Private Display feature for the Galaxy S26 Ultra works
Samsung has published several short videos demonstrating the exclusive Private Display option for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Recall, Private Display is a new mode that allows you not to worry that someone will see personal information on your smartphone screen.
What is known
Rumors of Private Display first appeared in the summer of 2025 and now the company has clearly shown how the technology works, on which, it is claimed, Samsung worked for five years.
With Private Display activated, the smartphone analyzes the eye position of those who might potentially see information on the smartphone screen, and when someone on the left or right tries to peek, it automatically closes, and text or images can only be seen from a direct angle.
At the same time, Privacy Display can be customized — for example, to block not the entire screen from strangers, but only personal messages or passwords.
Thanks to numerous visibility settings, you can restrict what others see according to the level of privacy protection you need. You can also protect certain interface elements, such as pop-up notifications. It's a personalized approach that can be precisely configured or turned off entirely, rather than used for all elements.
Known insider Ice Universe visually demonstrated what a hidden private message looks like, and it must be admitted that it is really impossible to read it from the side.
There is no clear information yet on whether Privacy Display will remain exclusive to the S26 Ultra or will appear on other Galaxy models.
According to unconfirmed information, the new Galaxy S26 smartphone series will be presented on February 25, and will go on sale March 11.
