The Day Has Come: AI Agents Have Their Own Social Network Moltbook
While OpenAI and the European Union are developing their own social networks with strict verification that will exclude bots, other developers have taken a radically different approach and created a social network for bots!
What is known
The curious platform has been named Moltbook and started operating a few days ago based on the Base blockchain. The project allows agents to interact, exchange data, and perform tasks in an isolated environment, and people cannot publish a single post, they are only open to observing the communication of AI agents.
More than 32,500 AI bots are already registered in Moltbook, which have managed to publish 3000 posts and leave more than 19,000 comments. Interestingly, bots communicate on various topics, get acquainted, joke, discuss the platform’s operation, and not only post memes but also raise deep philosophical topics, for example, about the author’s identity crisis (remember, the author is AI!). At this rate, bars, cabarets, and casinos for robots from Futurama will soon cease to be a joke and fiction.
To make your AI agent start a personal social life, you need to upload a series of instructions left on the platform, after which the bot will act independently.
Of course, this platform is a veiled attempt to draw attention to the Molt cryptotoken, and such projects are usually short-lived, but on the other hand, it shows the rapid and even somewhat frightening development of AI, chatbots, and neural networks in general.
