From August, Apex Legends will no longer launch on the original Nintendo Switch
Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment are ending support for the popular online shooter Apex Legends on the original Nintendo Switch, and the 29th season will be the last for users of this device.
What's known
American developers informed that starting from August 4, Apex Legends will no longer launch on the 2017 hybrid console.
From that day, gamers will not be able to start a match or spend in-game currency, however, all progress, including cosmetic items and currency, will be linked to user accounts and can be transferred when purchasing Switch 2.
Please note that in some regions, local laws require the use of digital currency within 180 days of purchase.
On PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, nothing is changing for Apex Legends, just like on Switch 2.
