The company IKEA introduced a new portable Bluetooth speaker Grejsimojs in the form of a purple mouse. The model is already on sale in several European countries, including the UK, Germany, and Sweden.

What is known

Grejsimojs is part of IKEA's series of devices aimed at children. Previously, this range included a desk LED lamp in the shape of a dog. The speaker is compact (8.6 × 13.0 × 9.0 cm) with a plastic body.

The speaker is equipped with a 1.6-inch driver with a frequency range of 150–19,000 Hz and a maximum volume of up to 73.8 dB. Bluetooth connection is provided for listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks from a phone, tablet, or laptop.

The model supports multi-speaker connection mode but does not have stereo mode and does not support Spotify Tap unlike other IKEA models such as Solskydd.

Grejsimojs operates on a built-in battery for up to 24 hours and charges via USB-C; however, the cable and power supply need to be purchased separately. With an IP44 protection rating, the speaker withstands water splashes, making it suitable for use in the kitchen or children's room.

The price is £12.00/€15.00/SEK179.
