Acer unveils gaming laptop Shadow Knight Neo 16 with Intel Core i7‑14650HX and RTX 5060 graphics
Acer has released the Shadow Knight Neo 16 — a high-performance yet not overly expensive gaming laptop, one of the first mid-segment models on the RTX 50 generation GPU.
What is known
The laptop is equipped with a 16” IPS display with a resolution of 2.5K and a refresh rate of 300 Hz, making it an ideal choice for competitive games. Brightness reaches 500 nits, with 100% sRGB color space coverage and DC Dimming support declared.
The system's performance is driven by an Intel Core i7‑14650HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop graphics card — not the top configuration, but enough to run games at medium and high settings.
The cooling system includes two fans with 101 blades each and enlarged heat pipes, allowing for a combined CPU+GPU power draw of up to 170W without significant throttling. The configuration includes 16 GB DDR5‑5600 RAM, a PCIe 4.0 SSD, and two storage slots.
The Acer Shadow Knight Neo 16 supports Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 and has HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, USB‑C 3.2 Gen2 ports, several USB ports, and 2.5G Ethernet.
The laptop features a metal-coated lid and customizable RGB lighting for each key.
Acer's new product is currently available only in China for $1300 (converted from yuan). There is no information on a global release yet.
