Samsung announced an extremely budget smartphone Galaxy F70e 5G with decent features and a six-year update program
Samsung is preparing to release a new budget smartphone Galaxy F70e 5G, which will debut in India on February 9 and will be the first device in the updated Galaxy F70 lineup.
The model is aimed at the affordable segment, but offers a number of features that are usually found in more expensive smartphones.
What's known
Galaxy F70e 5G received a 6.7” display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a teardrop notch for the front camera.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset is responsible for performance, and the memory volume will be 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with the possibility of expansion via microSD. The main camera is represented by a 50 MP module, supplemented by a 2 MP depth sensor, and the front camera has a resolution of 8 MP.
One of the key advantages of the device is a 6000 mAh battery with support for 25 W wired charging.
The back panel of the Galaxy F70e 5G is made of a material with a vegan leather texture, and the body is protected according to the IP54 standard from dust and splashes. The smartphone will be available in two colors—Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue.
Samsung promises long-term software support: Galaxy F70e 5G will launch on Android 16 with One UI 8 interface and will receive six major OS updates and six years of security patches—a rarity for the budget segment.
Sales of the smartphone will start in India immediately after the presentation, and the expected price will be from $110 to 165, making the Galaxy F70e 5G one of the most affordable Samsung devices with 5G support and extended software support.
Information about the global release is not yet disclosed.
