Shadow Drop or Ubisoft error? A new edition of The Division unexpectedly released on consoles
Strange events continue to occur in the offices of Ubisoft. Yesterday we reported that a Polish blogger received a unique collector’s press kit for the canceled Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake from the company (and quickly sold it), and today the publisher released a reissue of the shooter The Division on consoles without prior announcements, which had previously been rumored.
What is known
Tom Clancy's The Division - Definitive Edition is already available in Microsoft and PlayStation stores, although it was expected that the new edition would be released in March in honor of the 10th anniversary of this game. At the same time, only the original edition is presented in Steam and Ubisoft Store, and the company remains silent.
Unfortunately, the Definitive Edition is not a remaster - it’s just a full edition that includes three released story additions - Underground, Survival, and Last Stand, as well as all sets of cosmetic items.
The new version replaces the Gold Edition and costs $50 - it will not interest old players, but for beginners, it is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the popular shooter.
There remains only one question: is this a Shadow Drop format release or a performer's mistake?
