Significantly more expensive and with a reduced battery: an insider revealed the cost of the global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra photo flagman

Insider Arsène Lupin shared information about the price of the global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra photo flagman, which successfully debuted on the Chinese market at the end of December.

As in most cases, the gadget will cost significantly more outside of China and will receive several reduced specifications.

What is known

In Europe, the price of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be €1500 — the same as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra at launch, but note that this was before the shortage and significant increase in the price of RAM and storage.

At the same time, in European countries, Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be sold without the 12/512 GB configuration, and buyers will only be offered the 16/512 GB option, which cost $1060 in China (the price difference is obvious).

The battery capacity will be reduced from 6800 to 6000 mAh, and the smartphone will only be available in three colors: black, white, and emerald green, without the interesting Cool Smoke Purple color.

Probably, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will appear on the global market in mid-February, but the exact date is still unknown.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has become the company's first Ultra flagship with a flat AMOLED screen, its diagonal is 6.9” with a peak brightness of 3500 nits.

The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and scored 3559 points in single-core mode and 10,854 points in multi-core mode in Geekbench tests (version with 12 GB of RAM).

The main focus of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is on the camera. The model received an updated Leica system, which includes a 1” main Omnivision OV50X sensor with LOFIC technology, a 50 MP wide-angle camera, and a 200 MP Samsung HPE telephoto lens with a 1/1.4” optical format. The camera allows recording 4K video at 120 FPS.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra's battery supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The smartphone has maximum protection against dust and water according to the IP69 standard.
