Renault has expanded its Captur lineup with the introduction of a new Eco-G 120 hp modification featuring LPG equipment. Thanks to two fuel tanks, the car is capable of traveling up to 1,400 km without refueling.

What's Known

The new Eco-G 120 engine is based on the 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine TCe 115 (HR12) with direct injection. After modification, its power increased to 120 hp (+20 hp), and torque to 200 Nm (+30 Nm).

When running on liquefied gas, the Captur emits 10% less CO₂ compared to a similar gasoline version. At the same time, Renault increased the gas cylinder capacity by 25% – from 40 to 50 liters. In combination with a 48-liter gasoline tank, the total range reaches 1,400 km.

Fuel consumption in LPG mode starts at 7.2 l/100 km, and for gasoline — at 5.9 l/100 km. The CO₂ emissions level ranges from 117 g/km on gas and 133 g/km on gasoline, which is even lower than the previous Eco-G 100 version's figures. The gas cylinder is placed in the spare wheel location and does not affect the gasoline tank volume.

The Eco-G 120 engine is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. In France, prices for the Captur Evolution Eco-G 120 start at €26,400 or €210 per month — at the level of the Eco-G 100 version.
