Media: Mid-range iPhone 17e to receive MagSafe support and will be announced on February 19

Important information about the budget smartphone iPhone 17e has appeared online. The portal MacWelt revealed the gadget's release date and some technical details.

Sources from the publication reported that Apple will present the iPhone 17e on February 19 - during the same period, remember, the release of updated MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors is expected.

The new model will support wireless charging via MagSafe technology with a power of 25W, thereby the manufacturer will eliminate one of the main drawbacks of the iPhone 16e.

According to unconfirmed information, the smartphone will feature an Apple C1X modem and an Apple N1 wireless chip with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, as in the iPhone Air.

The high performance of the iPhone 17e will be ensured by the A19 processor - the same as in the basic iPhone 17.

Renders of the iPhone 17e have not yet been presented, and insider information is conflicting: some report the presence of Dynamic Island, while others insist that Apple will keep the standard notch.

The price is expected to remain the same as the previous mid-range model - $599.
