The price of the updated version of the iconic Boomslang gaming mouse, which Razer announced in the fall of 2025 in honor of the brand's 20th anniversary, has become known.

It is named Boomslang 20th Anniversary Edition and will be released in a limited edition of 1337 copies.

What is known

The number of mice released is not accidental and refers to the word “elite”, which can be written as "l33t" — this was how something cool and high-tech was denoted in internet communication in the 2000s.

The number “1337” is also reflected in the price — this is precisely how many dollars one needs to pay for the exclusive gadget, which has received significant technical improvements and comes with a collectible exhibit, which is a illuminated frame with mouse components at different stages of its assembly.

Besides the mouse, the Boomslang 20th Anniversary Edition includes:

  • dock station/ mouse stand;
  • USB Type A — USB Type C cable for the dock station;
  • a set of glass overlays for the mouse, instead of standard Teflon (PTFE).

Let's remember, the anniversary version retained the recognizable silhouette and semi-transparent body. The basis is the Razer Focus Pro 45K Gen-2 optical sensor with a sensitivity of up to 45,000 DPI and an accuracy of 99.8%. The mouse supports HyperPolling Wireless with a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz, providing minimal latency and maximum responsiveness. Razer Gen-4 optical switches rated for 100 million clicks are used, along with proprietary Chroma RGB lighting with nine zones and an underglow effect.

Special attention is paid to the design: the buttons of the updated Boomslang are trimmed with artificial leather for better grip.

For those not in the know

The original Boomslang became a symbol of the birth of esports: its unusual snake head design and 2000 DPI sensor set new standards for the industry. The mouse was the first product under the Razer brand, but at that time the brand existed as a project of the company Kärna LLC, and already in 2005 Razer gained entity status.
