New information has emerged about the “mega-gadget” Trump Phone — a smartphone from Trump Mobile, a company owned by the family of the current US president.

Recall, the smartphone was positioned as “made in the USA” and symbolized “American values.” In reality, as is often the case with Trump, it turned out that “he was misunderstood” and it was revealed that the Trump Phone would almost entirely consist of Chinese components, and its release date was postponed multiple times.

What is Known

Journalists from The Verge spoke with Trump Mobile executives and even saw a prototype live — T1 was shown during a video call.

To the journalists' surprise, the gadget once again received a new design: the “golden” body and American flag remained, but the camera module went through another transformation. Upon first acquaintance, T1 resembled an iPhone, later acquiring a vertical camera arrangement like Galaxy's Ultra versions, and now it has become truly unique — resembling nothing else, but with a literally crooked sensor layout.

This is what the first renders of the Trump Phone looked like:

It remains to be seen whether this is a defect, a mistake, or a conceptual designer's idea.

Trump Mobile executives are in no hurry to disclose the technical details of the smartphone but shared that it will feature a Snapdragon 7 series processor, a 5000 mAh battery, and 512 GB of storage. The main sensor will be 50 MP and may be complemented by an ultra-wide camera and a telephoto lens.

The Trump Phone will be comparable to any smartphone over $1000.

As for the price of the Trump-named smartphone, it is stated that with a $100 deposit, the price will be $499.

New details about the smartphone will be announced by the developers “in the coming weeks.”
