AT&T introduced the AmiGO Jr. smartphone based on the Galaxy A16 with parental control features

The mobile operator AT&T announced the children's smartphone AmiGO Jr. The device is built on the Samsung Galaxy A16 platform, but features a set of safety and parental control functions integrated through the proprietary AmiGO app.

What is known

AmiGO Jr. is equipped with a 50MP main camera, a 6.7-inch display, and a 5000 mAh battery — the technical specifications remain from the Galaxy A16. The main feature of the novelty is parental control. Parents can track the child's location in real-time, set safe zones, restrict device usage time, and manage other parameters directly from their phone.

This is not the first smartphone with control; previously, similar solutions were offered by Bark and Pinwheel.

The novelty is already available on the AT&T website for $3 per month with a 36-month contract with credits on the account. The cost of communication services is paid separately. The company also presented the AmiGO Jr. smartwatch.
