In November, the Chinese company Ayaneo presented a monstrous portable gaming console Next 2 — it amazed with its features, which even many top laptops lack. Of course, such a gadget could not be cheap, but the announced price again shocked gamers — there have been no such prices for similar devices yet.

What is known

The company announced that the first deliveries of Ayaneo Next 2 will begin in June, and right now everyone can place a deposit and receive a small discount for pre-order. However, even with it, the novelty will be quite expensive:

  • the most modest version for first buyers will cost $1800 with a full price of $2000;
  • the model with average specifications will cost $2300 or $2700;
  • the top model is available for pre-order for $3500, and on release — at $4300.

For this money, buyers will receive a maximally efficient and autonomous gadget that can run top games at high settings, but due to the large memory capacity (up to 128 GB) and huge battery (116 Wh), it will weigh about 1.5 kg.

Recall, Ayaneo Next 2 will receive a powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads, integrated Radeon 8060S graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 units, and an XDNA 2 neural engine. Thus, the chipset will provide performance comparable to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, which is an incredible achievement for a portable gadget.

The console will feature a 9” OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1504 pixels, a frequency of 165 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 1100 nits — such characteristics are also impressive.

The novelty will become the first Ayaneo device running Windows — previously only Android was used.

Ayaneo promises a powerful cooling system with two fans, which will prevent the console from overheating. Controls include an exclusive TMR joystick, linear triggers with Hall effect, a floating 8-directional D‑pad, and dual intelligent touchpads.
