Sony and the Ember Lab studio delighted gamers with the unexpected announcement of Kena: Scars of Cosmora — a sequel to the charming action-adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which was released in 2021, was one of the first PS5 exclusives, and was remembered for its colorful style reminiscent of Pixar cartoons.

What's known

The events of Kena: Scars of Cosmora will unfold right after the finale of the first part, and the main character will venture into unexplored regions of the island of Cosmora. Her main goal will be to find a cure for a mysterious disease, and at the same time, she will try to find a way to reunite with a certain friend from the past.

According to the plot's premise, the heroine will enter an unequal battle with the Corruption, in which she will receive serious injuries, and her staff, necessary for contact with spirits, will be destroyed, forcing Kena to resort to dangerous elemental magic, which could lead to unpredictable consequences.

Judging by the trailer, the sequel will be larger, more spectacular, and even more technologically advanced than Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and players will be able to interact not only with the cute Rots but also with other helpful allies.

When to expect

The release of Kena: Scars of Cosmora is expected in 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 5.
