The Layers of Fear Series Will Receive a Continuation — Bloober Team Announced a New Horror About Art and Madness

The intriguing countdown, launched by the Polish studio Bloober Team at midnight on January 1, has ended. The company held a special presentation, revealing that it was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the psychological horror series Layers of Fear, which is known for its exquisite aesthetics and focus on the mental disorders of creative individuals, particularly artists.

What is Known

Bloober Team delighted their fans with the announcement of Layers of Fear 3. So far, the studio has only presented a teaser with live-action footage styled as a retro recording, thus it's unknown what the game will be about, when it will be released and on which platforms, but judging by the increased attention to painting, an artist will again be at the center of the story.

The head of the studio, Piotr Babieno, emphasized that the Layers of Fear series has played a key role in shaping and developing the studio and its creative style, and the third part will be not only a continuation but also an organic evolution of the franchise.

Bloober Team's creative director, Mateusz Lenart, noted that Layers of Fear 3 will once again show how thin the line between genius and madness is.

In addition, Bloober Team announced the release of vinyl records with soundtracks from different Layers of Fear games, as well as a series of books on this franchise, the first of which will be released at the end of 2026.

Recall that the Bloober Team studio is the author of excellent horrors and in 2024 released an excellent remake of Silent Hill 2, and in 2025 marked with the no less high-quality game Cronos: The New Dawn.
