Two authoritative sources have shared information about the base model of Xiaomi 18.

Insider IT Hero showed a render of the smartphone, which demonstrates that Xiaomi will slightly change the design of the novelty, and the attention is drawn to the camera block, clearly “borrowed” from old iPhone Pro models.

In turn, Digital Chat Station shed light on the technical aspect of Xiaomi 18. According to him, the base model of the 2026 series will receive a periscope camera with 5x zoom and a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, which will not be the most powerful, since Qualcomm is preparing another processor with a Pro suffix.
