Casio officially presented models AQ230EGL-9A and AQ230EL-1A in the USA in a rectangular case

Casio introduced two new affordable models in retro style AQ230EGL-9A and AQ230EL-1A in the USA. Both watches previously appeared in certain international markets and are now officially released for American buyers. The novelties combine vintage aesthetics with modern functionality.

What is known

The models received a rectangular case with smoothly beveled edges and short lugs, forming a restrained and recognizable design. The main feature is the hybrid analog-digital display. The dial features thin hands and indices, while below is a small digital screen. It displays a calendar, stopwatch, and alarm, combining a classic look with practical capabilities.

The AQ230EGL-9A version is executed in a gold-colored case with a champagne-colored dial and a brown leather strap embossed with a crocodile pattern. The AQ230EL-1A model has a silver case, black dial, and black leather strap, giving it a more versatile and restrained character.

Both watches support displaying two time zones and have basic water resistance for daily use. The cost of the AQ230EGL-9A is $80, and the AQ230EL-1A costs $70. Sales have already started on the official Casio website.
