Google released another update for Chrome, starting to roll out the new Split View feature— the ability to launch two independent tabs in one.

What's known

After installing update 145, Chrome users will have a new icon located to the left of the address bar. Clicking on it brings up a pop-up menu, one of the items being Split View. Google indicates that in this mode, for example, you can open a video in one tab and take important notes from it in another. Split View tabs will be displayed on the general panel as “two-in-one tabs.”

Another significant update is the ability to edit PDF files with Chrome's built-in tool. You can now highlight text and add notes in PDF Viewer by clicking on the wavy line icon in the top toolbar.

This eliminates the need to download the file and open a separate application just to quickly make a note. The function is ideal for quick digital signatures, checking a work report, adding notes to a study program, or just highlighting a key section of a personal document.

Chrome users can now also save PDF files directly to Google Drive — they will automatically go to the "Saved from Chrome" folder and are easy to find on any device.

All innovations are distributed gradually by Google, and on Windows, they are only available to some users so far.
