“NieR: Automata will be continued” — Square Enix instilled hope for a new franchise game
A stream dedicated to the tenth anniversary of NieR: Automata took place — initially a niche, but incredibly popular game about the battles of humanoid robots that became much more human than their creators.
What is known
Square Enix confirmed the game's success by announcing that its sales exceeded 10 million copies.
In addition, the Japanese company hinted at something that fans of the series have long dreamed of hearing — “NieR: Automata will be continued.” Understanding this phrase is complicated by the fact that it appeared in a video showing not only fragments from the game itself but also footage of its anime adaptation and musical concerts with soundtracks, so it is difficult to understand whether it is about the game or, for example, a new anime.
But let's remind that the creator of NieR Yoko Taro and his colleagues have repeatedly hinted that the continuation of the series is yet to come, so fans should be patient and wait for official announcements.
