Official: Xiaomi Tag budget tracker will be presented on February 28
Xiaomi has revealed the presentation date of its own tracker, which will be an analogue of Apple AirTag, but significantly cheaper.
What is known
The Chinese company has posted on its global social networks that the Xiaomi Tag will be presented on February 28 in Barcelona, evidently coinciding with the announcement of the international version of the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra photoflagship.
Previously, information appeared online about the Xiaomi Tag, indicating it would cost €17.99 per device or €59.99 for a pack of four. Its case will have a thickness of 7.2 mm, and a replaceable CR2032 battery will provide about a year of autonomy.
The official poster states that the weight of the Xiaomi Tag is only 10 grams.
It is known that the tracker supports two search systems at once: Apple Find My and Google Find My Device. Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are used for detection, but the UWB technology, which determines the distance and position of objects even more accurately, is not supported by Xiaomi's new product, likely omitted to reduce the tracker's cost.
