Xiaomi is expanding its line of mobile accessories and is getting ready to bring its new Ultra Thin Magnetic Power Bank to the global market — one of the thinnest and lightest external batteries.

What is known

On February 28, at a global event in Barcelona, where the budget Xiaomi Tag tracker will be presented, as well as the international versions of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphones, the Chinese company will present the "thinnest external battery on the market supporting the Qi2 standard" — the thickness of the Ultrathin Magnetic Power Bank is only 6 mm, and the weight is 98 g.

Previously, this power bank was already released on the Japanese market, so we know its specifications.

The new MagSafe power bank from Xiaomi features a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, enough to fully charge an iPhone. The safety of the device is ensured by ten levels of protection and two NTC temperature sensors. The body of the external battery is made of aluminum alloy, and the charge level is indicated by four LEDs.

The novelty will interest users of current iPhone models and Android gadgets with magnetic cases, such as the Xiaomi 17 series. The accessory is securely attached to smartphones and provides wireless charging. It is claimed that when working with the Xiaomi 17 series devices, the wireless charging power reaches 15W, while for the iPhone, it is limited to 7.5W.

If it is necessary to charge the smartphone faster — a USB-C port with charging support up to 22.5W is provided. However, you can combine both methods, replenishing the charge of two devices at once.

The power bank will be available in a bright orange color.
