Warhorse News: Kingdom Come to Get a Feature Film Adaptation, and a New Game Is Being Developed Without Daniel Vavra
Unexpected news has arrived for fans of the Czech studio Warhorse's work. It turns out that the creator of the two-part medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Daniel Vavra, is not working on the next game, but plans to conquer cinema.
What is known
Representatives of Warhorse Studios told CzechCrunch in an interview that Vavra is no longer the creative director of the studio and is not currently involved in the development of the company's next game. Instead, he is preparing for the production of a feature film adaptation of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which, they claim, has "global ambitions" and a "significant budget."
Vavra has already written a draft script for the film and is confident in the success of his idea.
The new creative directors of Warhorse Studios are design director Viktor Bocan and lead designer of KCD2 Prokop Jirsa.
Well, the plot of Kingdom Come is so vast and complex that there is no doubt about its cinematic potential, especially with a scriptwriter like Daniel Vavra. However, the fact that the new game is being developed without his involvement may not be such good news.
