Rumor: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers may gain access to World of Warcraft and paid subscriptions of other service games
Microsoft may resort to an unexpected decision to enhance the appeal of the Xbox Game Pass subscription by including World of Warcraft.
What is known
Respected insider and journalist from Windows Central, Jez Corden, reported that the corporation is considering offering Game Pass Ultimate subscribers game time in one of the most popular MMORPGs in the world.
Following the autumn price increase, the cost of Game Pass Ultimate is $30 per month and many gamers feel it's unjustifiably expensive. Corden believes that in addition to World of Warcraft, the service may also add other similar subscriptions, such as Fallout First (for Fallout 76) and Minecraft Realms (for the Bedrock edition of Minecraft).
This is just a rumor for now, but many gamers already don't believe it since various news of this format about WoW have never been confirmed. Furthermore, the monthly subscription for the game is $15, and players are sure that to compensate for financial losses, Microsoft will increase the cost of the Ultimate subscription — as happened with the addition of Fortnite and Ubisoft+.
