Google plans to integrate the Nano Banana image generator into the Google Maps application. Journalists from Android Authority found relevant mentions in the latest version of the service. The code includes lines indicating the preparation of a new feature.

What is known

The discussion is about adding an artificial intelligence tool directly to the mapping service. According to preliminary data, users will be able to create images based on locations from Street View. Nano Banana will allow the styling of real places based on a text request, changing the atmosphere, visual style, or adding creative elements to the panoramas.

The company has not yet made any official announcements regarding the launch of this feature. At the same time, the appearance of relevant lines of code usually means that the feature is in the testing or preparation stage for release.

It is currently difficult to predict how popular this integration will become. It may remain a niche tool for experimenting with images or turn into a new way of creating creative content based on real locations. If development is already underway in the current version of Google Maps, the official launch may occur soon.
