The founder of the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World and one of the creators of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Sergey Grigorovich, unexpectedly announced his return to the gaming industry and reported working on a new project, but with a new team since he left GSC in 2024.

What is known

In an interview with the publication "Interfax-Ukraine," Grigorovich mentioned that the game is called S.T.R.A.N.G.E.R. Bermuda SOS (of course, with dots between the letters) and that it will be an "immersive leap into a sci-fi post-apocalyptic world."

The producer intrigued with the thesis that the game will be even more impressive than all we've seen from GSC Game World, as it will incorporate 30 years of game development experience and is being created with technologies and approaches no one has yet applied.

The theme of S.T.R.A.N.G.E.R. Bermuda SOS will echo the premise of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and once again exploit the theme of a nuclear disaster, but this time global, not local.

It is stated that artificial intelligence is actively used in the development of the game, which is likely to disappoint gamers rather than delight them, but it is not yet known in which processes AI is involved.

The release of S.T.R.A.N.G.E.R. is clearly not a matter of the near future and there are no guarantees that the game will reach a full announcement, but fans of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will definitely be waiting for the novelty from Grigorovich.
