Lenovo updated the ThinkPad series at MWC 2026: T14 Gen 7, T16 Gen 5, and X13 Detachable with Intel Core Ultra

Lenovo unveiled its updated ThinkPad line for business at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The company announced new models in the T series, convertibles, and corporate tablets.

What is known

The ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 and T16 Gen 5, starting at $1800, feature Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with vPro support or AMD Ryzen AI Pro 400 Series. The manufacturer claims a repairability score of 10 out of 10 by iFixit. Updates include an optional 5MP camera with computer vision and vHDR support, improved speakers, and a new Cosmic Blue body color.

The lightweight ThinkPad T14s Gen 7, starting at $1900, weighs 1.1 kg and is the lightest model in the T series. Also presented is the ThinkPad T14s 2 in 1 Gen 2, starting at $1850, with a 360° hinge and built-in stylus dock above the display.

The ThinkPad X13 Detachable is positioned as an alternative to the Surface Pro. The device features a 13-inch display with brightness up to 500 nits, Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, and support for up to 64GB of RAM. There are two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The keyboard has full-size keys with 1.5mm travel, and the stylus is stored and charged in a separate slot. Prices start at $2000, with shipments planned for the third quarter of 2026.

Additionally, Lenovo showcased the rugged Android ThinkTab X11 tablet priced from $500, based on Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with MIL STD 810H certification, and the ThinkBook 14 2 in 1 Gen 6, priced from $1754, with support for up to 32GB of RAM. Most of the new products are expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2026.
