Apple's New iPad Air M4: Faster, Stronger, Yet Same Price!
Simultaneously with the budget iPhone 17e smartphone Apple introduced a new generation of iPad Air on the M4 chip, making the lineup noticeably more powerful and closer in capabilities to professional models. The novelty received a serious performance boost, extended memory, improved communication modules, while maintaining the previous starting price.
Main features of iPad Air on M4
The 2026 iPad Air is equipped with the Apple M4 chipset, which includes an 8‑core CPU, 9‑core GPU, and 16‑core Neural Engine. According to the company, performance has increased by up to 30% compared to the M3 and up to 2.3 times compared to the M1, making the tablet significantly faster in editing tasks, games, and AI work.
The RAM has been increased to 12 GB — this improves multitasking and the work of demanding applications.
As before, iPad Air is available in two screen sizes — 11 and 13 inches.
The tablet received new proprietary Apple N1 and C1X communication modules, providing more stable connectivity, as well as support for Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread.0 — this combination makes the device more versatile for working in modern networks. According to Apple, the new C1X modem consumes 30% less energy, which improves the device's autonomy.
