Nacon Connect Postponed Amid Bankruptcy Concerns

Last week, we reported on the huge financial problems of the French publisher Nacon, caused by a payment delay from the largest shareholder — Bigben Interactive.

This news came out a couple of days after the announcement of the regular show Nacon Connect, which was supposed to take place on March 5. It was strange that a company on the verge of bankruptcy would host an event to share its plans. But its cancellation only confirms that the news of impending problems was unexpected even for Nacon.

What is known

The publisher announced that it would postpone Nacon Connect to May 2026, but not cancel it, which for now seems quite optimistic.

Nacon made a strategic decision to postpone the next Nacon Connect presentation, originally scheduled for March 4. In a challenging economic climate for the company, we decided to focus our resources on upcoming releases and the development of current projects.

This period will allow us to refine our games and prepare for a new Nacon Connect in May, where we can best present the work of our studios. Until then, we will continue actively sharing news about projects such as GreedFall: The Dying World, Dragonkin: The Banished, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, and many others.

In the coming days, the court will consider Nacon's bankruptcy filing, and if granted, it will provide time to find funds, restructure debts, stop the accrual of interest and penalties, and save itself from closure.

Recall that Nacon owns studios Spiders (creators of niche games Steelrising and GreedFall), Cyanide (creators of the Styx trilogy), and several other companies, and is also a publisher of third-party projects, the most successful of which is the shooter RoboCop: Rogue City, and in its free time from games produces peripheral accessories.

Until March 11, a Nacon sale is taking place on Steam, where the company's games are offered at significant discounts.
