Nubia Unveils Neo 5 GT: Affordable Gaming Phone with Built-In Fan and Ultra-Bright Display at MWC 2026
At the MWC 2026 exhibition, Nubia unveiled its new gaming smartphone Neo 5 GT, which became the brand's most affordable device with a built-in fan.
The model is aimed at young gamers who value stable performance and a high screen refresh rate.
What is known
The Nubia Neo 5 GT received an active cooling system with a fan and an advanced air duct structure, providing a heat dissipation area of 29,508 mm², allowing it to maintain stable performance even during long gaming sessions.
The smartphone features a large 6.8” AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, 1224×2720 pixels resolution, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits, making it one of the brightest screens in its class. Magic Touch 3.0 functions and touch-sensitive zones with a response frequency of 550 Hz are supported, improving game control accuracy, including recognition of touches with wet fingers.
The Neo 5 GT is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 (4 nm), providing a noticeable performance boost compared to previous models in the series built on Unisoc. The smartphone is available in versions with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512 GB flash memory without micro-SD support.
The Through-Flow Duct Design system, similar to solutions in RedMagic gaming models, is used to cool the processor and battery.
Autonomy is provided by a 6210 mAh battery with 80 W charging support and a bypass power mode that allows you to play without losing charge while not stressing the battery.
The main camera received a 50 MP module, the front - 16 MP. The case is equipped with RGB backlighting and has IP64 protection against dust and splashes.
In Europe, the Nubia Neo 5 GT will go on sale in April 2026 for €399. Given the combination of performance, cooling, and price, the model may become a notable competitor in the mid-range segment, especially among mobile gamers.
